It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dusty (The Dustman), the dog that started it all for us. He was our unofficial greeter and "Lord of the House" for over 13 years. Most of all, Dusty was my special friend, for without him there would be no me! He is sorely missed, but will be forever in our hearts.
When he was nearly 10 years of age, Dusty proved he was a herding dog extraordinaire!!! After a five year hiatus from even seeing a sheep, he got his AHBA Herding Capability second leg on 8/14/99 for his HCT title, and then the next day (under the capable handling of Pam Fugitt-Hetrick) earned his first leg towards his JHD (Junior Herding Dog) title......thank you, Pam! Dusty went on to handily achieve his JHD.
